A high energy celebration of the Emerald Isle, the music of Danú offers an authentic Irish experience. Using traditional instruments, flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion and bouzouki the music is clever and fun. Danú is one of the hottest traditional Irish music bands in Ireland, distinguished by its use of traditional Celtic instruments complemented by exquisite vocals. Called “a spirit-raising concoction” by the Irish Times, this Celtic powerhouse hails from historic County Waterford, and for the last decade this lively ensemble has enchanted audiences around the world with its authentic, passionate, and energizing performances. Danú mixes ancient Irish music with contemporary works to create an unforgettable evening. Danú has won the BBC Award twice and the Irish Music Magazine Award.
